Society tends to portray us long-haired dudes as manics, thrill-seekers and/or over-adventurous, and, for the most part, they’re right. Have an old, non-menacing, long-haired guy at your public library quietly going about his day as a library assistant? Have no doubts, dear reader, that guy has fire fueling his passion for the long-hair life and probably owns a motorcycle or does something in his spare time that isn’t suited for the rest of short-haired mortals. Right, right, I’m applying some hyperbole here, but the reality is that, to grown and own long hair as a male, you better have some big gonads so that you don’t get sidetracked by the myriad of bullcrap that you’ll be subjected to over time by others.
