Braid your long hair in a tarantula or spider style
Braided hairstyles for men have been around for a while although cornrows and creative braided hairstyles didn’t become popular until the 1980s when the African American community took these hairstyles into their range of popular hairstyles like the high top fade or the Caesar cut fade. Especially in the 1990s, it was common to see in most big US cities young black men with cornrows and long braided hairstyles.
The tarantula hairstyle
One very interesting hairstyle that made its way through the 1990s as part of the range of braided long hairstyles for men was the braided tarantula or tarantula hairstyle. This hairstyle consists of having your hair at a length of at least eight inches and braided into at least four long braids.
The tarantula hairstyle is quite a rare hairstyle which is usually done in its “lightest version” as a simple four-braids style instead of the more-extreme eight-braids style.
Here’s an example of the lighter and more subtle four-braids tarantula hairstyle:
Here’s an example of an eight-braids tarantula hairstyle:
Creepier tarantula hair styles
If th above wasn’t enough for extreme braided hairstyles (especially the eight-braids tarantula), you can take it even a step further and get even creepier tarantula hair. Arachnophobiacs better not look at these pictures below!
